Lal Pekin trained in drawing and ceramics in Türkiye and the United States. Her works have been showcased across galleries and design boutiques in Türkiye, France, and Tbilisi, GE. In addition to her art practice, her functional ceramic pieces, under the brand Sou Forms, have been acquired by Türkiye's most renowned fine-dining establishments.

She experiments with hand-building techniques using regional Turkish clays, Spanish and German stoneware clay, iron oxide, and recycled glass. ​​
