Lal Pekin (b. 1990, Istanbul) discovered her passion for art at a very early age, experimenting with creative expression for as long as she can remember. She trained in drawing and ceramics at studios in Türkiye and the United States, where her artistic haven facilitated a deep exploration into the fundamental forces of creation and transformation.

 

Pekin experiments with unique techniques using natural materials like regional Turkish clays, iron oxide, and recycled glass. Pushing the boundaries of these elemental mediums, her pieces transform into visual metaphors embodying the turbulent yet enlightening the journey of self-discovery.

 

Currently based in Tbilisi, Pekin's works have showcased across galleries and design boutiques in Türkiye and France. In addition, her functional ceramics have been acquired by Türkiye's most renowned fine-dining establishments.
